Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by my faith in God. Knowing that He has a plan for my life inspires me to be the best that I can be, in all areas of my life. I’m also inspired by my parents and my sister whose unwavering support for me has motivated me to continuously grow and challenge myself.
What does it mean to be a leader?
A leader is someone who isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions. Someone who is inclusive and stands up for what is right, even when it might not be popular opinion. A leader knows when it is important to lead but also when it is appropriate to follow. Leadership isn’t always about being in front and getting all the praise and recognition. Leaders are concerned about people and getting the work done – even when it means getting their hands dirty.
Think back to when you were in middle school – what advice would you offer to yourself knowing what you know now?
